2,000 Senegalese villages will be electrified

During the last Council of Ministers, President Macky Sall instructed the ministers in charge of Energy, Social and Territorial Equity to accelerate the national deployment of the particular project for the electrification of 2,000 villages.

2,000 Senegalese villages will be electrified, and 115,000 lampposts will be installed in rural and peri-urban areas in several localities.

These projects are part of the Town Modernization programme (PROMOVILLES) and the Emergency Community Development programme (PUDC). And includes sectors like water, agriculture, health and road infrastructure.
